Delta variant is spreading in USA. Among newly infected cases, more than 80% are delta variant (according to CDC). Total daily new cases in USA was upto 135,000 yesterday (according to New York Times).  In China, the reported cases are less than a thousand so far and China has been strong in control new cases and their contacts.

Delta variant has had a death rate of about 1.7% in India. It is very strong in spreading among people. In USA, THE DEATH RATE is not clear yet, but group case reports seem far less in hospitalization and less deaths. The challenge facing USA is maybe an unlimited spreading without any control, but most Americans have had Covid vaccine shots, which may not curb the virus from spreading, but LIKELY reduce disease burdens. The challenge facing China is that not many people have had all vaccine shots. If spreading can not be controlled, then the situation would be LIKE second India: spreading in people without vaccination.

Pfizer reported that immunity against COVID may drop up to 83% in 4 months after vaccination. That is very worrisome. We know immunity after nature COVID infection dropped in 6 months in certain infected persons.

To protect you from now the more infectious Delta variant, Mask, Mask, and Mask. We said that in early May this year. Now we say Mask, Mask, Mask.

COVID is rising in USA again. Mask, mask, even you have had vaccine. The protections of vaccines to COVID new variants are not as fully as to COVID-19. Therefore, vaccinated person may still be infected by COVID new variants. Mask, mask.

Protect youself. This may be the 2nd round of World COVID-19, by COVID new variants. Delta variant might already have had its first place in Indian. Now it is rising in USA, and ACCOUNTS for MORE THAN 80% OF USA NEW CASES.

So far 260 millions Americans have had shot(s) of COVID vaccine (CDC). 98% adults have had a shot, or 78% of the population have had a shot of COVID vaccine. In 3 weeks, after those just got a shot getting their 2nd shot, the US HERD IMMUNITY will be in place.  The Immunity is strong in against common COVID-19, as well as UK VARIANT.

It is still good to wear a mask when shopping, which will protect you from SA variant as well as India variant.

240 millions in USA have had a COVID vaccine shot （CDC), total of 72%. It soon will reach population immunity after all of the vaccinated got their 2nd shot. Hopefully we will have a good summer in USA.

Today is May 1st, a holiday for China. A lot of people travel there. It seems no big worry of COVID there.
