It was reported by several major media including NY Times, CBS, that fish oil (DHA) failed to show a benefit in patients already have Alzheimer’s disease. We know that Alzheimer’s disease is a slow progressing disease. Once those plaques formed, it may not or may take long time to reverse it. The important fact is that more fish consuming associated with reduced risk of Alzheimer’s disease. Currently it is unknown whether fish oil may have function in reducing the risk of Alzheimer’s disease. However, one fact is that fish or fish soup not only can provide great nutrients, be tasty, but also it is rich in glutamine that is important for memory and learning. Try to treat yourself with an easy fish tomato soup.
