It was observed that the introduction of so called “Western diet”, such as fries, cheese, burgers, spam, into a small island was associated with dramatically increased obesity and diabetes. Shorter lifespan was observed in the population as well. Similar observations were reported in other areas in Asia. These observations, of cause, are important to countries like China, India, so on, but it is more important to the people that feed yourself or your children with these “Western diet” DAILY. There are great dishes of Western diet, such as uncooked vegetables, salad, fruit, fish, chicken, a cup of French wine, so on. Diet that are rich in fiber, such as some Chinese dishes, are great too. Tofu is a good source of protein. It is good to cook with more olive oil and less butter.
