We know that man has 46 chromsomes. They contain 3 billion base-pairs. If you do not believe that God made man, imaging how long it will take to form chromsomes by adding one base-pair by one base-pair. It took 15 years to make one million base-pair DNA with our current best biotechnology. If we put the four kinds of deoxynucleotides (A, C, G, T) together, how long will it take for them to form DNA? Automatically? 3 billion base-pairs? 46 chromsomes? At the same time? It says that it took millions and millions of years for man to develop. If no DNases, the chromsomes might not be cut (if they can form DNA at the first place). With DNases around, the formed chromsomes might be cut here or there. Another fact was that all the 46 chromsomes had to be formed in the same spot, within 0.0001 square millimeter, in order to be packed into a cell. More in DPS-Disaster Prevention Strategies.

Music and human health, or music and medicine, will continue to be a hot topic during the holiday seasons and in 2012. Here is a section from the book  and wish you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

It has been reported that individuals can reach 129 years old (Antisa Khvichava of Georgis) for woman and 122 years old for man with good mental status. Eternal life might be a future. It might take even longer than the fight to cancer. But, but could we have more people celebrating their 100^th birthday? I think this is the first step that is reachable. There are some notable facts that will not only help you to live longer, but live happier.

 

We know we can’t choose our genes, so we happy with what we have. But there are things can be done that will make us healthier and happier.

 

1.                 30 minutes moderate physical activity a day. Walking, working in farms, gardens, or doing what ever you like.

Lack of enough physical activity is the second leading contributor of preventable death. A sedentary lifestyle has been linked to 28% of mortality from leading chronic diseases.

In older nonsmoking men, walking two miles or more per day is associated with an almost 50% lower age-related mortality. A significant difference in benefit was seen between no activity and moderate activity. A smaller difference in benefit between moderate and vigorous exercise was seen.

Patients who engage in regular moderate or vigorous exercise have a lower risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, type 2 diabetes, and osteoporosis.  Mild to moderate exercise is good for those with chronic illness too.

6.                 Stop negative talking

 

We talked about music and happiness. We said that any sound could be music. However, negative talking could be a disaster. We all know that the incident of psychological events is higher in psychiatrists. Why? Because they were exposed to all the negative talk of their patients. They are so good and have professional training, but some of them were still affected by this.

 

One church sister told me that she almost jumped into a river when she was young. Why? Because her mom talked negatively all the time to her, and had no respect for her because she was a girl. Her mom’s negativity made her feel that she was useless in this world.

 

Almost everything can have two sides. Of course, we need to limit the dark side as much as possible. But can we find the bright side? Can we lead the way to the positive? Can we talk more of the good side? Smart people will find light in the dark and find the way to go forward. A laugh, a joke might be just good enough to unify and to find a way to move forward.

 

A message that I learned is that Jesus always finds the good side and gives people the courage they need to move forward.

Night time is about one third of our life. Have a good night sleep is essential to our daily life.

There are many ways that can help us to have a good night sleep:

A warm-hot bath,

A cup of warm soup or milk,

a Yogurt with fruit,

Calm or soft music, such as Silent night by Sarah McLachlan, or great wind music,

 

 

 

Before we have had GPS and compass, people used to get directions from the Big Dipper. The North Star (Polaris) of the Dipper will lead one to the north. There are seven stars in the Dipper.

There are many beautiful flowers bloming in the spring. Red, white, pink, yellow, you name it. Purple is a Royal color for British. Amazingly, there are seven naturely growing different shape and size purple flowers blooming now in the backyard, a nature purple garden, of a private home.

 

The rainbows consist of seven colors:

Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet

The seven major feelings of humans, SOME SAY, are:

Happiness, angry, hopeless, joy, hate,  love, desire.

In music, there are seven notes in a music scale.

The world is divided into seven continents.

The measurements of our world are seven dimensional: up, down, left, right, front, back, and timing.

A week has seven days.

Bible states that God created our world in seven days.

Another fact is that our vision, smell, hearing, taste, feeling, neuronal transmission, and cell migration are all governed by GPCRs, G-protein coupled seven transmembrane receptors, the largest protein family of humans.

Humans love flowers. Cherry trees are blooming two weeks ahead as they used to be. Flowers are everywhere in east coast already. Pink flowers, different types of purple flowers, yellow leaves of forsythia are all beautiful. Go out your room and leave your PC alone for a while. Enjoy the beautiful flowers around you and take some good shoots of what you like. You may send some of your good shoots to us if you like.

Some flowers can be used as herbes. The fact is that you will feel good, less stressful, or happier by just looking at them.  Flowers are among the best arts not matter from the points of color, shape, size, or pattern. It is wonderful if you thought about God once or twice when you enjoy the beautiful flowers. Enjoy you Spring!

Many chemicals can kill cancer cells in vitro. It was reported that patients took aspirin  had lower incidence of cancer. A new modified aspirin (hydrogen sulfate and nitric oxide added) was reported to kill 11 types of cancer cells (lung, colon, panceatic, prostate, and more) in vitro with great increased potency (10000x) as stated (the killing activity of unmodified aspirin in vitro might be quite low). It will be interesting to see whether the modified aspirin can selectively kill tumor cells without harm the normal cells/tissue in vitro and in vivo, a key for cancer treatment. It will be great if it can have good selectivity.

Some can let the eggs standing now. We just did it last night. Try it out yourself and let us know how fast you can do it. We tried duck eggs.

We still can let the duck eggs standing still in a minute or so, but it took almost 10 minutes to let the chicken eggs standing still. The egg has been standing still for 2 hours now.

Based on Bible, Jesus presented himself in front of his followers in transformed body and no body was found in the place he was buried. It will be interesting to see what facts the authors have, how they have concluded that it was the place for Jesus. It will need more than just a few bones of thousand years (if they were and if C14 is able to cut the years that precisely) ago. Were any remaining DNA found? Whose DNA could  BE COMPARED WITH?  It’s easy to tell a story, but a lot more needed to convince people.
